India-based International Solar Alliance (ISA), an intergovernmental organization currently with sixty-seven countries as its members, is virtually hosting the First World Solar Technology Summit, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, the 8th September, 2020 from 16.30 – 21.30 hrs IST (0700- 1400 hrs ET). The objective of the event is to bring the spotlight on state-of-the-art technologies as well as next-generation technologies which will provide impetus to the efforts towards harnessing the solar energy more efficiently. ISA would also be launching the ISA Journal on Solar Energy (I JOSE) that would help authors from across the globe to publish their articles on solar energy, during the event.

The Plenary Session would be addressed by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. This Summit will bring together, key stakeholders and innovators from the governmental and private sectors to discuss recent developments in the field of solar energy and to showcase the state-of-the-art solar technologies, that can help countries leapfrog to a decarbonized grid, at a reasonable and affordable cost.
