India International Rice Summit (IIRS 2026)

The Rice Exporters Association C.G. (TREACG) is organizing the second edition of the "India International Rice Summit" (IIRS 2026) on January 9–10, 2026, at the Maira Resort & Convention Centre, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

India is the world’s largest exporter of rice, supplying to over 150 countries and accounting for nearly 40–45% of the global rice trade.

IIRS 2026 will bring together the entire rice and rice-export value chain under one roof, including millers/manufacturers, processors, technology providers, researchers, exporters, global importers, government agencies, and industry institutions. The summit will offer an unparalleled opportunity to deepen international cooperation and foster meaningful engagement across all segments of the global rice ecosystem.

This initiative also aligns with national priorities such as Viksit Bharat (Developed India), Samriddh Bharat (Prosperous India), Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), and Make in India, with a strong focus on non-basmati rice, including GI-tagged varieties, fortified rice kernels, value-added products, scientific agriculture, and sustainable production systems.

Key focus areas of IIRS 2026 include:

  • Promotion of GI-tagged and premium non-basmati rice
  • Export-oriented paddy seed development
  • Technological, processing, and supply-chain advancements
  • Strengthening MSMEs through global buyer linkages
  • India’s leadership in Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and nutrition value chains
  • Innovation, sustainability, and growth in the rice-export ecosystem

Participation in the summit will support:

  • Strengthening bilateral cooperation in agriculture and food trade
  • Providing importers direct access to India’s largest rice-producing region
  • Facilitating long-term and reliable sourcing partnerships
  • Supporting transparent market discovery and competitive pricing
  • Encouraging collaboration in rice milling, exporting, fortification, technology, and value-chain development
