India Chem 2024

Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing the 13th edition of ‘India Chem’ from 17-19 October 2024 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

India Chem is the flagship event of the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Government of India, and is one of the largest composite events of the industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry is the backbone of the Indian economy, playing a vital role in the growth of various key sectors like automotive, construction, electronics, healthcare, textiles, and FMCG. India is currently the 6th largest producer of chemicals in the world and 4th largest in Asia. During FY 2022-23, exports of chemicals and petrochemicals stood at USD 45.7 billion. The chemical sector ranks 6th in terms of attracting FDI in the country, amounting to USD 1.85 billion in FY 2022-23.

India Chem 2024 will showcase the enormous opportunities offered by the rapidly growing Indian chemicals and petrochemicals industry and various government initiatives for sustainable growth in the sector. It will provide a platform for investors, both domestic and international, and other stakeholders to interact and forge alliances. This mega event will highlight the investment potential in this industry and support the “Make in India” initiative. It will also facilitate the collaboration and business expansion of foreign companies in India. The theme for the 2024 edition is “Advantage BHARAT: Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals Paving the Future”.

During India Chem 2024, events such as the Global CEOs Round Table, and Conclaves on different industry segments (i.e., chemicals, petrochemicals, dyes and pigments, agrochemicals, process, plant machinery, etc.) will be organized. Forums on chemicals and petrochemicals with India-USA, India-EU, and India-Japan, as well as an international exhibition, will take place.
