An Evening of Hindustani Instrumental Music
As part of the India-Qatar Year of Culture-2019, a 3-member Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)-empanelled cultural troupe will be performing in Qatar to mesmerize the audience with their musical symphony as per following schedule:
The musical evening will contain interactive narrations through innovative rhythmic dialogue on percussion instruments.
The energetic troupe includes : -
I. Debasmita Bhattacharya : She is one of India’s finest young Sarod (an Indian string instrument) players. Debasmita's musical journey began at the tender age of four years. Along her journey, Debasmita has received numerous accolades and awards as an acknowledgment of her enthusiasm and dedication to the art of music. Debasmita is currently empanelled with the ICCR.
II. Sangita Bhattacharya : She will be playing an instrument “Tanpura” (An Indian string instrument).
III. Debajit Patitundi : He is an emerging avid tabla player.
